A creamy and flavorful herbed cottage cheese dip that blends fresh chives, parsley, lemon juice, and spices for a healthy and versatile snack or spread. Perfect for pairing with veggies, crackers, or chips.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (2% fat recommended)
  • 1/2 cup fresh chives (approximately half of a 20 gram container)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed (optional)
  • Fresh black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add the cottage cheese, fresh chives, fresh parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill weed, and fresh black pepper into a large food processor bowl.
  2. Blend until smooth: Process all the ingredients thoroughly, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure an even and creamy texture.
  3. Adjust seasonings: Taste the dip and add more black pepper or lemon juice if desired for a balanced flavor.
  4. Serve: Transfer the dip to a small bowl. Serve chilled alongside fresh crunchy vegetables, crackers, or chips, or use as a spread on sandwiches, bagels, or toasts.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Great for make-ahead snacks or spreads throughout the week.
  • Serving suggestions: Pair with raw veggies like cucumber rounds, baby carrots, sliced bell peppers, celery sticks, or cherry tomatoes.
  • Crackers & chips: Enjoy with almond flour or seed-based crackers, or choose sturdier, neutral-flavored chips.
  • Enhancement: Optionally drizzle a small amount of good-quality olive oil over the dip before serving for added richness.
  • Spread use: Use as a creamy spread on sandwiches, open-faced toasts, bagels, crackers, or cucumber slices for extra flavor.
