Ingredients

Base

  • 1 waffle cone

Fillings

  • 1 Tablespoon peanut butter
  • ¼ cup mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup graham cracker pieces

Optional Toppings

  • M&Ms
  • Rolos
  • Peanut butter cups
  • Bananas
  • Strawberries
  • Coconut
  • Brown sugar
  • Butterscotch chips
  • Nuts
  • Any other creative toppings

Other

  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cone: Line each waffle cone with peanut butter to add flavor and help fillings stick. Place a few mini marshmallows at the bottom of the cone to prevent fillings from melting out during cooking.
  2. Fill the cone: Add your choice of toppings such as chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, graham cracker pieces, and peanut butter. Be careful not to overfill; leave some space at the top to avoid mess.
  3. Wrap the cone: Tightly wrap each filled cone with aluminum foil to hold everything in place and retain heat while cooking.
  4. Cook the cones (Oven method): Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place foil-wrapped cones on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until the chocolate and marshmallows melt.
  5. Cook the cones (Grill method): Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Place foil-wrapped cones directly on grill grates and cook for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally to heat evenly.
  6. Cook the cones (Campfire method): Heat foil-wrapped cones over campfire coals or flame for 3-5 minutes, until the fillings are melted and gooey.
  7. Serve: Carefully unwrap the foil (caution: hot!) and enjoy your warm, melty campfire cones.

Notes

  • Place marshmallows at the bottom of the cone to keep fillings from melting out.
  • Do not overfill cones to avoid mess during cooking.
  • Experiment with seasonal and unique toppings like mint chocolate for Christmas or pumpkin spice for fall.
  • Be cautious when unwrapping cones after heating, as fillings will be hot and melted.
