A refreshing Brown Sugar Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte combining the rich earthiness of matcha with sweet cinnamon-infused brown sugar syrup and creamy oat milk, perfect for a cool, energizing beverage any time of day.

Ingredients

Brown Sugar Syrup

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon water

Matcha Latte

  • 1 ½ teaspoons matcha powder
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Ice to serve
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup oat milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare Brown Sugar Syrup: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of water. Microwave the mixture for 1 minute. Carefully remove the bowl and stir until the brown sugar is completely dissolved. Let the syrup cool; it will thicken slightly as it cools.
  2. Make the Matcha: Sift 1 ½ teaspoons of matcha powder into a mug or small bowl to remove lumps. Add 3 tablespoons of water and whisk vigorously until the matcha is fully dissolved and has a frothy texture on top.
  3. Assemble the Latte: Fill a 16 oz cup or mason jar with ice. Pour in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 3/4 cup of oat milk, the prepared brown sugar syrup, and the frothy matcha mixture. Stir everything together thoroughly with a straw or spoon, then enjoy your refreshing iced vanilla matcha latte!

Notes

  • Use a matcha whisk or small regular whisk for best frothing results.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar syrup according to your taste.
  • Oat milk can be substituted with other plant-based milks like almond or soy for different flavors.
  • For an extra cold drink, chill the oat milk before assembling.
  • Be cautious when removing the bowl from the microwave as it may be hot.
