These White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers offer a juicy and flavorful twist on classic chicken patties, combining tender ground chicken with fresh spinach and creamy white cheddar cheese for a deliciously moist and savory burger experience.

Ingredients

Chicken Burger Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the patties: Shape the mixture into 4 evenly-sized patties, ensuring they are compact to hold together during cooking.
  3. Heat the cooking surface: Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat, allowing it to get hot enough to sear the patties properly.
  4. Cook the patties: Place the patties on the hot skillet or grill and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) ensuring they are fully cooked and juicy inside.
  5. Serve: Remove the patties from the heat and serve on buns with your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments for a complete burger experience.

  • For added moisture, you can mix a tablespoon of olive oil or mayonnaise into the burger mixture.
  • Spinach can be sautéed and drained before mixing if you want to reduce moisture in the patties.
  • Gluten-free breadcrumbs can be used to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • Customize your burger toppings to suit your taste preferences.
