Sweet air fryer churro bites are crispy on the outside, soft and warm inside, coated in cinnamon sugar for that classic churro flavor, made quickly without deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: chocolate sauce or caramel sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters to create bite-sized pieces.
  3. Toss the pieces in melted butter until evenly coated.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Roll the butter-coated biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully covered.
  6. Place the coated pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not overcrowded.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  8. Once golden brown and crispy, remove and let cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve warm with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin spice to cinnamon sugar for a seasonal twist.
  • Try dipping in dulce de leche or sprinkling powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
  • For a spicy version, toss bites in cinnamon and chili powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one day.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes to restore crunch.
  • Lightly spray air fryer basket with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  • Do not overcrowd basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Can freeze raw coated dough bites on a baking sheet and air fry from frozen, adding extra cooking time.
