Steak bites are a quick and delicious appetizer or main dish that combines tender, flavorful pieces of steak with a savory seasoning, perfect for any gathering or meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the steak into bite-sized cubes, ensuring the pieces are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the steak cubes to the skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Cook the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are nicely seared and reach your desired level of doneness.
  6. Once cooked, remove the steak bites from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the seasoning mix.
  • You can marinate the steak cubes in the seasoning mix for about 30 minutes before cooking for more flavor.
  • Adding vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the skillet makes it a more filling all-in-one dish.
  • Use a store-bought steak rub if you’re in a hurry.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
