A tender and juicy Slow Cooker BBQ Beef Brisket, packed with smoky and sweet BBQ flavors, cooked effortlessly in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 45 lb beef brisket
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional for a little heat)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (or water)

Instructions

  1. Trim off any excess fat from the brisket, leaving about 1/4 inch of fat.
  2. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and chili powder in a small bowl. Rub this spice mixture generously over the entire brisket.
  3. Pour beef broth (or water) into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Place the seasoned brisket fat-side up into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until fork-tender.
  5. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker, let it rest for a few minutes, and slice against the grain.
  6. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the slices or serve it on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more chili powder or hot sauce to the seasoning mix.
  • For a smoky flavor, use smoked paprika instead of regular paprika.
  • Add onions, garlic, and bell peppers into the slow cooker for extra flavor and texture.
  • Shred the brisket for BBQ sandwiches with additional BBQ sauce and a side of coleslaw.
