Ingredients

Lasagna

  • 9 sheets Lasagna Noodles
  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Crab Meat

Sauce

  • 1 jar Alfredo Sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Cheese Layer

  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese or cottage cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

Seasoning and Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna.
  2. Cook Noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles in a pot of salted water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Prepare Seafood Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, warm the Alfredo sauce. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp along with the crab meat, cooking until the shrimp turns pink and is fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes. Stir to combine flavors.
  4. Assemble Lasagna: In a baking dish, start layering by spreading some of the seafood Alfredo mixture. Add dollops of ricotta cheese, then place lasagna noodles over the mixture. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of noodles topped with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake Covered: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. This allows the layers to meld and the seafood to infuse the sauce.
  6. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes. This step browns the cheese topping, making it bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Rest and Garnish: Let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes after baking to set. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving for added color and freshness.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed shrimp and crab meat for the best flavor and texture.
  • If desired, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a hint of heat.
  • Substitute cottage cheese for ricotta for a lighter texture.
  • Make sure to let the lasagna rest after baking to prevent it from falling apart when sliced.
  • This dish pairs well with a simple green salad and a crisp white wine.
