Orange Glazed Salmon is a quick and easy, family-friendly dinner recipe. This sweet and savory seafood dish requires just 5 ingredients and 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

Salmon:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Orange Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup orange juice (fresh squeezed from approximately 1 orange)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch, whisked with 1 teaspoon water (optional for a thicker glaze)

Instructions

  1. Heat skillet: Heat the butter or olive oil in a large skillet on medium-high.
  2. Cook salmon: Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper and add to the pan, skin side up. Cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  3. Prepare glaze: Whisk together orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and cornstarch slurry, if using.
  4. Cook the glaze: Add the mixture to the skillet and heat until thickened.
  5. Coat salmon: Return the salmon to the pan, coat with the glaze. Add orange slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a thicker glaze-like sauce, use the optional cornstarch slurry. For a thinner sauce, omit the slurry.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Consume within 2-3 days.
