Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches combine creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries inside a crispy, golden-fried bread shell for a delightful dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese – 4 oz (softened)
  • Fresh strawberries – 1 cup (thinly sliced)
  • Granulated sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
  • Bread slices (white or sandwich bread) – 8 slices
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – for frying (about 1/2 cup)
  • Powdered sugar – for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Slice fresh strawberries thinly.
  3. Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto one slice of bread, then layer with sliced strawberries. Top with another slice of bread to form a sandwich.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together egg and milk to make an egg wash.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Dip each sandwich into the egg wash, coating both sides evenly.
  7. Carefully place the sandwich in the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  9. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chocolate sauce or cinnamon to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Try different fruits like blueberries or raspberries as an alternative to strawberries.
  • Brioche or challah bread can be used for a richer sandwich.
  • Best served fresh and warm; reheat in toaster oven or skillet to maintain crispiness.
  • To make dairy-free, substitute cream cheese and milk with plant-based alternatives.
