Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Sprinkle in paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper, stirring to combine.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and toss everything together.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of Old Bay seasoning.
  • Swap lemon juice for lime juice for a citrus twist.
  • For a creamier sauce, stir in a splash of heavy cream at the end.
  • Adding smoked paprika can provide a smoky depth.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat gently over low heat to avoid drying out the shrimp.
