These Easy Dubai Chocolate Cups are a delightful treat inspired by the viral Dubai Chocolate Bar. Combining the unique crunch of toasted kataifi with creamy pistachio butter and luscious melted semi-sweet chocolate, these cups offer a perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and crunchy textures with very minimal ingredients and simple steps.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Pistachio Butter
  • 3 tbsp Kataifi
  • 2 tsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate (chocolate chips or chopped bar)

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Collect all the ingredients needed for the recipe to ensure a smooth cooking process.
  2. Toast Kataifi: Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the kataifi, stirring frequently to toast until golden brown and fragrant. Remove from pan and let cool on a plate.
  3. Melt Chocolate: Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second bursts, stirring in between until fully melted. Alternatively, melt the chocolate using a double boiler method as detailed in the notes.
  4. Assemble Base Chocolate Layer: Spoon a layer of melted chocolate into each of five silicone cups to form the bottom layer of the chocolate cups.
  5. Mix Pistachio and Kataifi: Fold the toasted kataifi into the pistachio butter, gently combining them to create a crunchy nutty mixture.
  6. Add Pistachio Mixture: Spoon the pistachio-kataifi blend over the chocolate layer in each silicone cup, pressing gently.
  7. Top with Chocolate: Cover the pistachio layer with an additional spoonful of melted chocolate to seal the filling.
  8. Chill to Set: Place the silicone cups on a plate in the fridge and allow the chocolate to harden and set completely.
  9. Serve: Once set, the chocolate cups are ready to be enjoyed as a delicious, crunchy, and creamy treat.

Notes

  • Chocolate can also be melted using a double boiler: place a glass bowl over a pot filled halfway with water, heated over medium heat. Stir chocolate in the bowl as it melts gently to prevent burning.
  • Use silicone cups to easily remove the chocolate cups once set.
  • Toasting kataifi requires constant stirring to avoid burning – watch closely for a golden brown color.
