Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 breakfast sausage patties (chicken, turkey, or plant-based alternative)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Honey mustard or your favorite sauce, for drizzling
  • Optional: fresh herbs like chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble the eggs in a buttered skillet until just set.
  4. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
  5. Layer the bottom halves with sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and shredded cheddar cheese. Drizzle with honey mustard or your preferred sauce.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
  7. Arrange the assembled sliders in a baking dish and cover loosely with foil.
  8. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, until the cheese melts and the sliders are warmed through.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Swap the sausage for chicken, turkey, or vegetarian sausage alternatives for variation.
  • Add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
  • Try different cheeses such as pepper jack, mozzarella, or Swiss to change the flavor.
  • Spread cream cheese or avocado on buns for a creamy twist.
  • Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in the oven or microwave.
  • Freeze individually wrapped sliders for up to 2 months; reheat from frozen in the oven.
  • Substitute slider buns with small dinner rolls or English muffins if needed.
