Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites combine cinnamon rolls and French toast into a bite-sized treat. These crispy and fluffy bites are perfect for brunch or breakfast and are topped with syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter (for frying)
  • Syrup (for serving)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Begin by unrolling the cinnamon rolls and cutting them into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to create the French toast mixture.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter. Once the butter is melted and sizzling, dip the cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, coating them well.
  4. Carefully place the dipped cinnamon roll pieces onto the skillet, cooking them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown and slightly crispy.
  5. Once the bites are cooked, remove them from the skillet and place them on a plate.
  6. Drizzle with the icing from the cinnamon rolls and serve with syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
  • Feel free to add chopped fruit like bananas or berries into the batter for added flavor.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice to the egg mixture for an extra layer of flavor.
