This Blueberry Fluff is a deliciously creamy and fruity dessert that combines tangy cream cheese, sweet blueberry pie filling, and fresh blueberries with a hint of lemon zest. Easy to prepare and perfect for gatherings, this chilled dessert offers a light, fluffy texture and a refreshing burst of berry flavor.

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest, plus additional for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Whipped Topping

  • 8 ounces extra-creamy whipped topping, thawed

Blueberries

  • 3 cups fresh blueberries, 1 pound rinsed and patted dry, divided into 2¾ cups and ¼ cup

Pie Filling

  • 21 ounce can blueberry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Beat Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a handheld mixer on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes or until no lumps remain.
  2. Add Flavorings: Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla extract, sour cream, and powdered sugar to the beaten cream cheese. Beat for an additional 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold the extra-creamy whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until evenly combined to maintain a light texture.
  4. Add Fresh Blueberries: Add 2¾ cups of fresh blueberries to the cream cheese mixture. Very carefully fold the blueberries in, making sure not to burst any of them to keep the fluff visually appealing.
  5. Incorporate Pie Filling: Add the can of blueberry pie filling to the mixture. Carefully fold the pie filling into the mixture until evenly combined for sweetness and flavor depth.
  6. Garnish and Chill: Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and garnish with the remaining ¼ cup of blueberries and an additional sprinkle of lemon zest for a fresh look. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • One medium-sized lemon will yield more than enough zest and juice for this recipe.
  • Ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps in the mixture.
  • After rinsing the blueberries, pat them dry gently and thoroughly.
  • Chill the blueberry fluff for at least 1 hour for best flavor blending and texture.
