A simple and delicious recipe for baked peaches filled with a buttery, sweet pecan mixture. Perfect as a warm dessert served with ice cream, offering a delightful balance of tender fruit and crunchy topping.

Ingredients

Peaches

  • 3 ripe peaches

Filling

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted, divided
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375° F (190° C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the peaches.
  2. Prepare Peaches: Slice the peaches in half and carefully remove the pits. Use a spoon to gently enlarge the pit cavity, creating enough space to hold the filling. Arrange the peach halves cut side up in a small baking dish so they fit snugly, ideally using an 8×8 or 9×9 inch dish.
  3. Make Filling Mixture: Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Pour half of the melted butter into a separate small dish for drizzling later. To the remaining butter in the bowl, add maple syrup, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and chopped pecans. Stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients into a cohesive mixture.
  4. Fill the Peaches: Spoon the prepared filling evenly into the hollowed center of each peach half. After filling, drizzle the remaining melted butter over the top to enhance richness and help the topping brown beautifully.
  5. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the peaches for 23 to 26 minutes, or until they become soft and tender to the touch. The filling should be bubbly and fragrant.
  6. Serve: Remove the baked peaches from the oven and serve warm. For an extra indulgent touch, add a scoop of your favorite ice cream alongside the peaches and enjoy immediately.
