Ingredients

Black Bean Dip Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz. each) cans low-sodium black beans, drained & rinsed
  • ¾ cup salsa
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup minced cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Drain and rinse the canned black beans thoroughly to reduce excess sodium and improve flavor.
  2. Puree dip base: In the bowl of a food processor, combine the black beans, salsa, minced garlic, lime juice, ground cumin, water, and salt. Puree the mixture until it achieves a smooth, creamy consistency.
  3. Add cilantro: Add the minced cilantro to the food processor and pulse just a few times until the cilantro is evenly distributed without fully blending, preserving its fresh flavor.
  4. Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips or raw vegetables as a healthy and satisfying snack.
